Maintenance Technician

2ND SHIFT

MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure safe and proper operation of production/mechanical equipment, motors, pneumatic tools and conveyor systems.

  • Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and or engineering specifications to troubleshoot or correct equipment malfunctions, in a safe manner.

  • Provide routine preventive maintenance as directed throughout the facility.

  • Diagnose source of problems, by observing equipment in operation, input from operators, and proven methods used previously.

  • Follow standard work to ensure compliance, update reference logs/charts and maintain high safety standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Ability to use common tools; hammer, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, etc.

  • Skilled in use of power tools, electronic testing devices, measuring instruments.

  • Ability to maintain focus while working under time constraints.

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, three shift operation.

Shipping Clerk

What You'll Do:

 

  • Ensure customers receive accurate, properly packed product in a timely manner.

  • Maintain/record all related documents required to ship product; ensure these documents are properly completed and placed in the appropriate files.

  • Process customer orders for pick up by contacting specified freight carriers.

  • Follow standard work, and carry out responsibilities in a safe manner.

  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain adequate inventory at all times.

  • Load and Unload freight carriers with tow motor or hand-truck.

  • Receive raw materials and supplies; report defects or shortages.

  • Maintain clean and orderly work area.

 

What You'll Need:

 

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast paced and changing environment with multiple priorities.

Primary Role:  Design vinyl swimming pool liners and safety and winter covers.

Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain standard work processes for manufacturing processes.

  • Design vinyl swimming pool liners, as well as safety and winter covers.

  • Ensure that drawings are clear and effectively convey the correct information.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

 

  • SolidWorks hands-on experience.

Sr. Process Engineer

 

Primary Role - Sr. Process Engineer: 

The Senior Process Engineer will lead process efficiencies at GLI in Youngstown Ohio. The role will be focused on labor and material productivity program management, including leading Kaizen events, implementing best practices across sites, and working on product development for process efficiency. The role will focus on the lifecycle processes for pool liner and safety cover production. The role will work cross functionally with Plant Managers to develop and improve standard work at production sites, and training programs for the production. A large part of the role will focus on quality improvement and credit reduction. Additionally, the role will partner with Plant Managers to ensure appropriate visual management boards, operating metrics and process productivity targets are met.

Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain standard work processes for manufacturing processes.

  • Lead implementation of standard work processes across plant portfolio including site specific process adaption.

  • Create training programs, including working with internal and external resources.

  • Responsible for Capital expenditures projects (CapEx) lead business studies, project implementation; the goal is to improve a company's performance in the future.

  • Responsible Operating Expense (OPEX) analysis and cost reduction.

  • Generate process improvement programs to meet productivity targets for labor and material.

  • Implement productivity programs including:
    •    Hosting and leading Kaizen events.
    •    Best practice sharing and improvement introductions across multiple sites.

  • Work closely with operations team to ensure process improvements are realized and quality issues are assessed methodically from in terms of engineering and design.

  • Perform Process Evaluations for New Product Introductions as part of Toll Gate approval process.

  • Define and maintain detailed process specifications for qualification of new raw materials.

  • Research and development of new equipment and materials (this can include design responsibilities).

  • Monitoring of process equipment – including developing testing standards and performance maintenance programs.

  • Completion of documentation to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and protocols.

  • Develop Process Technicians providing hands on support equipment troubleshooting.

  • Responsible for data collection, interpretation and report writing.

  • Presentation of data and reports to senior colleagues and management.

  • Responsibility for the evaluation / installation of new equipment for testing or production.

  • Continual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain high.

  • Observe all company safety rules and serve as a “Champion” of corporate safety initiatives and culture.

  • Facilitate/support structured problem-solving activities, ensuring root-cause identification is databased and corrective actions are validated and controlled.

  • Escalate design opportunities to corporate leadership.

  • Facilitate/support the development of the annual BU process design project roadmap and participate on project teams as appropriate.

  • Team with the Vice President, Operations & Plant Manager to ensure all site processes are maintained uniformly across all facilities.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Equivalent related experience may be substituted for degree

  • 7 years of related experience, ideally leading Kaizen / Lean events

  • Demonstrated ability in using measuring instruments

  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel (including spreadsheets/databases) 2D/ 3D CAD experience.

Professional Field sales position for GLI Pool Products responsible for growing GLI sales in a specific marketplace via our distributor partners, OEM’s and Strive for Five dealers.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications: Sales experience of 7 years or more, undergraduate college
degree, excellent communication and analytical skills and a willingness to travel 60% or more.

 

Territory Sales Role:

  • Interpret and follow work orders to produce and select Work directly with all internal staff and customers to profitably grow GLI sales in all key categories.

  • Become the expert in the territory.

  • Effectively communicate and understand all GLI programs and products.

  • Understand and be able to articulate market sizes, opportunities and competitive influences in the respective marketplace.
